Wednesday we got up early as a family and went out to a place called Blueberry Hill, where tiny little blueberries grow wild over acres of mountainous land. It was a beautiful place, quiet and undisturbed, and it's free to pick all the blueberries you want. The only problem is they're tiny little things that take forever to pick so after about an hour and a half we ended up with only about 6 cups of blueberries. They taste much better than store-bought, though, and all the kids loved eating them, including Jacob, who won't touch a fruit (of course, when we got home we still wouldn't touch them, but there's just something about eating them right off the bush). We had some great blueberry dump cake and blueberry pancakes.
