Day 1: Traveling & Christmas @ Grandma & Grandpa's
Of course we have to find a Chick-Fil-A on the way!
Grandma & Grandpa prepared a delicious "Christmas" dinner for us as soon as we got there, and the kids enjoyed opening presents all over again!
Day 2: Beach Trip
We took a quick trip to the beach-- it was pretty cold in the wind! Jacob found out the hard way that the water was also pretty darn cold!
And of course no OBX trip is complete without a visit to Sweet Frog for some frozen yogurt!
Day 3: Trip to Norfolk & Nauticus Museum
We had to take Brett to the airport for a conference, so we spent the rest of the day enjoying Norfolk. We loved the Nauticus Museum.
Getting on the Battleship Wisconsin was the highlight of the trip. It's a real naval battleship with lots of things to explore!
Day 4: Games with BJ & Jenipher, Haircuts & Fire Station
We enjoyed playing with Elena when they arrived. Seashells were a hit, but the PlayDoh was a constant source of fun for the two littlest.
And we always love seeing Grandpa's fire station!
Day 5: Jockey's Ridge
Day 6: Jumpmasters Trampoline Park & the Playground
Abi made it all the way across this climbing wall without falling. She is definitely a gymnast!
Andrew and Leah enjoyed fighting on the balance beam.
As if they hadn't worn themselves out enough at the jump park, we took advantage of the nice day and went to the playground too!
Day 7: We attempt to get some photos of all the kids...
But they didn't want to cooperate. Someone was crying, or going to the bathroom, or running off... Oh well.
Day 8: The Aquarium
Daddy came back from his conference and we enjoyed a free day at the NC Aquarium! We saw a dive show in the giant shark tank, jellyfish, and the ever-favorite touch tank.
Jacob got himself a cool new pair of shades...
And we taught Daddy & the kids how to play a cool new game: Mexican Train!
What a fun time we had! We can't wait to go back again soon!
